Your one-liner can be used to copy settings between two browsers on the same machine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I intended my solution to be used to copy settings between browsers on different machines, and also to allow the user some level of control over the &quot;risk&quot; of directly manipulating the prefs.js file. So I provided separate export and import scripts, and I allowed the user to decide when he is comfortable that the scripts don&#039;t mess up the prefs.js.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for the shortcut!</description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>@Jason,</p><p>Very true.
